Transition

The rain turned to snow but the temperature was not cold enough for it to stick.  The foggy skies and big clumsy flakes combined to make visibility near impossible.  I was driving across town.  Billy was moving from the hospital directly to the rehab center; she asked if I could bring some things to her.

"I've already gained 9 lbs," she tells me.  She could of said 20 and I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow.

She will be in this rehab center for 30 days.  I've been there.  She is there.  I have to take a back seat while her parents and family deal with her addiction.  To them I am a stranger.  She is getting good help though, and I will see her soon.

  1. Sounds a lot better than earlier posts. Healthy weight gain and 30 days in the rehab center. All good things I think.

  2. I am so happy she is getting help. I will be thinking of you and her. I think you have a good grip on what is going on, and are handling this beautifully. Hugs.

  4. From some of the things I've read, maybe she needs more than 30 days. I am glad she is safe.
